To become the information resource and technology leader in the steel industry, 
U. S. Steel opened the Automotive Center located in Troy, MI.  This center gives us the ability to perform research using state-of-the-art equipment and computer-aided design.  Information generated at this new facility makes up the majority of the information contained on the web site.

Please browse the web site for technical and commercial data that will help you select the most appropriate material for your application.  This site is intended to provide information to help automotive engineers evaluate any potential application whether it be questions on weight reduction, cost savings, formability, crash energy management, or material availability.
