U. S. Steel Automotive Center Laboratory


The capabilities of our lab can be found by clicking the appropriate link on the left navigation or the links below.  In addition to our test services, the Automotive Center conducts customer application research and development projects.  These projects are often carried out jointly with our customers and our Advanced Applications Technology staff in our Product Technology group.  The projects cover a variety of areas in forming/stamping, advanced material characterization, structural analysis/test, advanced CAE applications, and technology developments.

We have samples of materials that are available for testing or trials.
 

Our lab has been accredited by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) within the field of mechanical testing.  The A2LA certificate can be found on our certifications page.
