The
machine shop at the Automotive Center Laboratory supports test specimen
preparation needs for the Material test lab, Mechanical test lab and
Metallography lab. In
addition to that, the machine shop consists of a CNC milling machine,
which is linked to a CAD/CAM workstation. The designed tools/dies from the CAD workstation can be directly linked to the CNC machine through CAM and the tool/die can be
milled from the machine.
